Funny you should mention Apothecary's Diary as I've been deep in that story for the last few days, going through the light novels (in English because I'm impatient). Historical detective drama with copious trope inversion & even a sprinkling of romance! Definitely my jam. And yes, in retrospect I see how that chapter was lightly influenced by the anime too.
