Wonderful thoughts and compilation, Vanessa. I'm really loving your posts when you open up your own thoughts and feelings.

I'd really love to try to learn a second language, but I've been put off by the notion I've missed the boat and it's something you need to grasp when you are much younger.

I'd also like to read more of the classics of literature this year. I really enjoyed Moby Dick that I read towards the end of last year, and after reading Counter Craft's recent post I think it might be time to approach Homer's Odyssey.

Nice work tying together these simple yet dense vignettes into a beautiful contemplation—or maybe better noted as a prescription or, even better, a demand. All I will be working with a group of writers to complete a final draft of a novel I worked through five years ago and the first draft of a WIP I am currently plotting and writing. While the writing isn’t unusual, working with another group of dedicated writers locally and sharing and receiving feedback has never been my thing. Kudos on this piece, a joy to read as always!

Thank you, Brian!

Working with other writers has brought me some great experiences as well & I hope to return to that this year too (in the form of beta reading & critique swaps). It can be so inspiring to work with & alongside others, especially in real life as opposed to online! Hope you'll log many fruitful hours & words with your group.
